Mission Statement:
Riverside Christian Academy shall provide a non-denominational, Christ-centered educational experience, focusing on academic excellence through values based teaching. Riverside Christian Academy purposes to enrich the whole person-mind, body, and soul.
Founding:
After much prayer, RCA began with a dream to provide students with an exceptional education in a nurturing Christian environment. In the fall of 2001, RCA opened its door to its first students. Since that time, the RCA family has been expanding facilities, classes, and staff. The process has been and continues to be rewarding and challenging. As we grow both physically and spiritually, we ask that you pray that God will continue to bless RCA's mission.
RCA's campus is located on 38 acres of scenic land that runs along the Elk River in Fayetteville, Tennessee. RCA's South-Central Tennessee location provides the ideal small-town experience although it is only 30 miles from metropolitan Huntsville and 70 miles from metropolitan Nashville.
Accreditation and Memberships:
RCA is dual accredited. The school is fully accredited through Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) which accredits public and private schools. RCA is also accredited through the National Christian School Association (NCSA). RCA's varsity athletics teams compete in the Tennesseee Secondary School Athletic Association. RCA is a member of the Tennessee Association of Church Related Schools and the Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce.
Enrollment:
RCA's enrollment has reached an all-time high of nealry 400 students for the 2009-2010 school year. The school began with 62 students in 2001.
Academics:
RCA sets high academic standards for its students. Our professional teaching staff knows the importance of getting to know each student as an individual, using the specific interests or talents of each child to motivate them to learn. Teachers regularly participate in seminars and professional instruction to gain new ideas and techniques. Hands-on activities, field trips, and guest speakers offer variety that stimulates and enlightens our students. RCA's standardized testing and enrichment programs help track and enhance academic performance for each student. Our students' SAT scores continually rank in the top 25% nationally.

RCA believes that a student's participation in extracurricular activities plays a vital role in the development of character and in the enrichment of the total school experience; therefore, RCA offers a variety of sports and scholastic activities, including:

RCA's board of directors and administration understand that the decision to seek Christian education for your children is a decision that comes with a sacrifice; therefore, they are committed to keeping RCA's tuition among the lowest of any comparable school in the Southeast. The cost of Christian education is never an insignificant one; therefore, RCA offers a limited amount of financial assistance for qualified families.
